What is WP-reCAPTCHA?

reCAPTCHA is a Wordpress Plugin, an anti-spam method originating from Carnegie Mellon University which uses CAPTCHAs in a genius way. Instead of randomly generating useless characters which users grow tired of continuously typing in, risking the possibility that spammers will eventually write sophisticated spam bots which use OCR libraries to read the characters, reCAPTCHA uses a different approach.

How to install reCAPTCHA?

There are two ways to install this WP plugin reCAPTCHA. First is the manual installation. Download the reCAPTCHA plugin, and manually install it to your server using the FTP server, which takes much time and effort.

And secondly, automated installation. All you need to do is log in to your blog, on your dashboard look for the Plugin section, click ‘Add New‘ and then type the name of the plugin on the search box (or you could also upload the zip file by clicking the ‘Upload‘ link on the tab). And then activate the plugin.

After activation of the Plugin

The reCAPTCHA plugin requires a ‘key’ to run, so you need to register to get a free the key, visit the plugin’s website for more details.

You can see the reCAPTCHA plugin on the comment section. Be sure that you entered the correct word, or you will not be able to post your comments.

So there you go! Let me know also other options you have tried to control spam comments.

I was so busy and tired, so not able to post the pictures right after the b-day celebration. I celebrated my birthday last June 16 with “my gang” and friends. My wedding is a couple of months away. How exciting! But haven’t still decided on a gown. There’s still so much to be done—so many details to think about. My Fiance’ and I have discussed a lot in regards to the wedding, like ‘lets do this’ and ‘lets do that’.

We still need to look at flowers, reception music, transportation, bridesmaid dresses, the cake and etc. I really want to get started on preparing for my wedding. Apparently we are on a waiting list for a sponsor couple at my church so that we can get started with marriage preparation.

Hoping to accomplish all the dreams we have had!
